Yes, I would consider myself a comic connoisseur! When it comes to panel layout, pacing, illustration quality, etc, this is my game. As a storyboard artist, my work revolves around telling a story visually, as does the work on my own comic, the Siren’s Song. Former Disney artist brings unimaginably likable character to even the seediest villain. Oh yeah, and it’s all done in BEAUTIFUL watercolor.

The feat that is Akira is astounding. Both the 2000+ page comic and the groundbreaking animated movie.

Art Deco + Superhero = The Rocketeer.

If I ever make my millions, I’m spending them on a perfect cosplay of this fella. Then I’ll follow that up by getting a jetpack and solving crimes.

Solid style. Tone, art, story, characters, etc. Parker nails the vibe it’s going for PERFECTLY.

Essentially the comic version of the Redwall series. The best part is the appendix full of lore in the back. (I do the same in MY comic.)

Disgusting. And Highly detailed. Some say TOO detailed.

Before I knew graphic novels or comic books, I knew comic strips.

… And before everything else, there was Archie and pals. I still remember gathering up the courage to buy a comic that involved romance. Would my parents find out I was a romantic at heart?!?
