Bethesda Softworks always make a great game you can really sink your teeth into. Once they added the possibility of crafting your own hideout, well that’s just asking for trouble. In a world plagued by radioactive monstrosities, you need proper protection. I give you…
The ACORN!
(formally known as the igloo)

Surrounded by turret guns. Nobody makes it up those stairs!
Upon entering the Acorn, take the lift down into the Acorn proper. Just watch out for the ring of turrets on the top level.
The 3rd floor is reserved for relaxation. Beds, sitting areas, and look! A couple magazine racks!
The 2nd floor is the merchants floor. Anything you need to buy or sell, you’ll find here.
The 1st, and largest floor, home to the gymnasium, work shop, molecular beam emitter, and a pool table!
In the basement, you’ll find all the food and water you’ll ever need. Not to mention some furry friends.
Just playing around.
Little bit about me, I’m Institute, through and through. The pursuit of knowledge above all! I don’t agree with their treatment of Synths, but now that I’m in charge, I hope to change things.
Early plans, before I realized I needed a basement for food and water.
I have no earthly idea why I recreated the Fallout 4 map to scale in pencil. But it is perfectly to scale.
How much space did the Institute take up? Does that passage in the FEV lab link up to the Bioscience room in a specially correct way? No. Until Bethesda games find a way around loading, rooms won’t line up correctly.
I’m also a fan of Fallout Shelter, mainly due to my being a fan of Sim Tower.
